We’ve all heard the song, butchered the lyrics, and then Googled what you’re actually supposed to say. But, have you tried to imagine what these 12 days would be as food? No? Well, I’ve got ’em here for you, so prepare yourself.
Day 1: Partridge in a Pear Tree

Baked pears. And they’re stuffed with walnuts and drizzled with honey and cinnamon. It doesn’t get much cozier than that, I promise.
Day 2: Two Turtle Doves

Day 3: French Hens

French Toast. You can even have it for dinner. Because breakfast for dinner is fantastic. Make it even better by stuffing it with strawberries and Nutella.
Day 4: Calling Birds

You can never go wrong with an omelette. It’s classic and delicious and never disappoints. You can even make it in a mug to make things more exciting.
Day 5: Golden Rings

Why not make these golden rings chocolate doughnuts covered in a glaze and crushed candy canes?They’re perfect with a glass of milk when you’re sitting by the fire. Does it get more Christmassy than that? I don’t think so.
Day 6: Geese a Laying

And what are they laying? Eggs. So, we’ll be drinking some eggnog on this day.
Day 7: Swans a Swimming

Shrimp can swim, right? They probably do. Even if they don’t, celebrate the 7th day of Christmas with this shrimp scampi recipe. And it only takes 20 minutes!
Day 8: Maids a Milking

Peppermint Stick Ice Cream. Even though it’s cold, we all need our ice cream fix. Might as well have it add to your holiday festiveness and make it peppermint flavored.
Day 9: Ladies Dancing

Christmas Pinwheel Cookies. These are hands-down the most festive Christmas cookies, and probably the most delicious. But, hey, we love all Christmas cookies.
Day 10: Lords a Leaping

Popcorn. Sure, there’s butter popcorn, but you can also spice up regular ‘ole popcorn with different flavors and spices that will definitely have you jumping, I mean leaping, for joy.
Day 11: Pipers Piping
