Wendy’s Is Roasting People on Twitter, and It’s Hilarious

Wendy—as in the cute, freckled, pig-tailed red-head—isn’t such a nice girl after all. If you happen to have had a bad experience at Wendy’s and Tweeted about it, beware. Wendy’s Twitter account is on a roasting spree, and it has no mercy.

It all began when a customer claimed that Wendy’s doesn’t use fresh beef. After that, all hell broke loose. The original Twitter account of the person who began the madness has been deleted. Thankfully, one Twitter user captured screen shots.

After that initial exchange, people have been instigating Wendy’s on Twitter, and its responses are hilarious. If anything, this just sparked people to go to Wendy’s. Nothing like being sassy to get people’s attention.

The Responses

Wendy’s Twitter bio could not be more on point. It reads: “We like our tweets the same way we like to make hamburgers: better than anyone expects from a fast food joint.” Um yeah, that’s definitely how I would describe Wendy’s on social media.

Customers love interacting with brands on social media. It makes us feel like our opinion or problem matters. Wendy’s being active on social media is nothing new—the roasting, however, is something we haven’t seen yet. And people seem to love it. Be careful what you say to the innocent looking, fast food icon—she can be sassy.
