As the end of November approaches, we are reminded that the beloved pumpkin season is coming to an end. Pumpkin spice and apple cider are beginning to be replaced with eggnog and peppermint-flavored snacks. A pumpkin enthusiast myself, I took it upon myself to try as many pumpkin-flavored snacks as possible this season. This year, Whole Foods Market had everything to satisfy my pumpkin cravings, from pumpkin spice whipped cream to pumpkin spice latte flavored popcorn. Before these items leave the shelves for good, here is a review of this year’s pumpkin snack selection at Whole Foods Market.

Nut Pods Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Nut Pods’ pumpkin spice creamer quickly became an integral part of my morning routine, as I actually came to swap out a splash of almond milk in my coffee with a splash of the pumpkin creamer instead. With a mild pumpkin flavor, the creamer helps tone down the bitterness of black coffee without the overwhelming sweetness I’ve found in most other flavored creamers. Plus, the seasonal and festive addition to my morning helped alleviate the dread of early classes.

Whole Foods Pumpkin Spice Latte Popcorn

I’m a big popcorn fan, and considering the fact that popcorn is my go-to snack food, my expectations for the pumpkin spice latte popcorn were remarkably high. Unfortunately, these expectations failed to be met. Perhaps I’m simply not a fan of sweet popcorn, but this popcorn was neither sweet nor savory enough to satisfy my craving. There was a mild pumpkin spice flavor, but there was not enough for any true pumpkin enthusiast. While I wasn’t a fan, it’s safe to say my roommates were, as the bag mysteriously disappeared within a few days of opening.

365 Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches

Pumpkin ice cream was a childhood favorite of mine, as I marked the start of every fall with a scoop of it on a waffle cone. When I saw that Whole Foods made pumpkin ice cream sandwiches, one word came to mind: revolutionary. The traditional pumpkin ice cream I loved meets a soft and chewy, gingersnap-esque cookie. My roommates and I were all in agreement; these ice cream sandwiches do not disappoint.

Noosa Pumpkin Yogurt

When I think of pumpkin snacks, yogurt is not the first thing to come to mind. However, Noosa’s pumpkin yogurt tastes like pumpkin pie in a cup. The delicious snack consists of tart plain yogurt, paired with a sweet pumpkin pure. Noosa’s pumpkin yogurt is a great healthier alternative to the traditional pumpkin ice cream.

365 Spiced Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Mix

The spiced pumpkin bread mix was the first pumpkin item I tried, and it most certainly did not disappoint. This pumpkin spice mix was a perfect excuse to gather some friends around the kitchen counter and collectively procrastinate any work we had to do. It was extremely simple to make, requiring only the addition of eggs, milk, and canola oil and about an hour in the oven. When the bread came out of the oven, it was moist, delicious, and a clear fan favorite. If you’re looking for a fun, fall baked good that requires little work and limited clean up, this is a great option.

365 Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Cookies

A box of these cookies lasted approximately two days in my apartment. If you’re looking for a classic sandwich cookie with a fall twist, these cookies are for you. Consisting of two cookies with subtle notes of fall spices and a sweet cheesecake center, these cookies scream fall. They pair well with coffee or a glass of milk- or on their own, of course.

Pumpkin Spice RX Bar

One of the healthiest options of the bunch, the pumpkin spice RX bar is a way to satisfy pumpkin spice cravings and embrace fall without all of the calories. I already eat RX bars fairly regularly, so the release of a pumpkin spice flavor was particularly exciting. While this protein bar is not as sweet as the cookies or ice cream sandwiches, the pumpkin spice flavor is apparent and honest. With just the right amount of pumpkin, and 12 grams of protein, these RX bars are a delicious and healthy way to incorporate fall flavors into your diet.

365 Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream

My personal favorite of the lot, pumpkin spice whipped cream was everything I hoped it would be. Light, airy, and with an ever-so-subtle pumpkin flavor and sweetness, this whipped cream makes the perfect addition to waffles, pancakes, or coffee. Or, you can follow my lead and simply eat it straight from the can.

Whole Foods Market carries enough pumpkin products to satisfy the tastebuds of even the greatest pumpkin enthusiasts. If you're in a last minute effort to celebrate the fall season with the taste of pumpkin, Whole Foods has you covered.
