What to Know About The Restaurant Strong Foundation Featuring Samuel Adams Beer

COVID-19; it’s the bane of all of us at the moment as most of us live in states that have some form of lockdown in place. Most of the restaurants that we know and love are closed (some permanently as a result of the virus), and are also struggling to get back up on their feet. This is where the Restaurant Strong Fund comes into play, all with the help of Samuel Adams Beer and The Greg Hill Foundation.

Details, please

During this virus, Samuel Adams has teamed up with The Greg Hill Foundation to create the Restaurant Strong Fund. The fund comes into place in support of the overwhelming number of vulnerable restaurant workers who are out of work for the greater good of the community. Other brands in the industry, including Castle Island Brewing Co. and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, have also lent a helping hand with contributions to the fund as well. Since its initial launch in Massachusetts, Samuel Adams expanded the fund to 20 total states, and has raised over $2.8M to support full-time restaurant workers. This overwhelming amount of support has given Samuel Adams the opportunity to distribute 1,650 individual $1,000 grant checks so far to recipients in the following states:

Arizona

California

Connecticuit

Florida

Georgia

Illinois

Massachusetts

Maine

Michigan

North Carolina

New Hampshire

New Jersey

New York

Ohio

Pennsylvania

Rhode Island

South Carolina

Tennessee

Texas

Vermont

Restaurant Strong Foundation donations and grant applications will be accepted through April 30 on www.restaurantstrong.org, which is right around the corner. The fund is so close to reaching three million dollars in donations and can’t get to that point without your help, so if you’d consider donating, that’d be great.
