The Basics of Carvel’s Latest Collaboration

Some of us recall going to Carvel when we were younger, and needless to say, they have some great ice cream, whether it be in the form of cones, cake, or flyers. Just like us, though, Carvel has grown up and has collaborated with Captain Lawrence Brewing to produce two limited edition beers. Here’s what you need to know about the collaboration.

What are the basics?

The collaboration between Carvel and Captain Lawrence Brewing has bred two, sweet, dessert-inspired beers. One is called the Cookie O’Puss Pastry Stout, while the other the one is the Cookie Puss Birthday Beer. What distinguishes the two beers from one another is that Cookie O’Puss Pastry Stout is brewed with Carvel’s signature chocolate crunchies, aka chocolate cookies crumbs combined with chocolate syrup, thus making it a chocolate-lover’s dream, while the Cookie Puss Birthday Beer is brewed with Carvel’s vanilla ice cream, thus giving it a rich, yet full-bodied taste and mouthfeel.

Both beers hit store shelves on February 26th, but they  have different availabilities depending on what state you’re in. The one and only Cookie O’Puss Pastry Stout will be available wherever Captain Lawrence is sold, all across the east coast, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Virginia. However, the Cookie Puss Milkshake IPA will be available only in New York.

Have a sweet tooth or need a cold one? Carvel and Captain Lawrence has got you covered. Try one (or both!) of these Carvel-infused beers to satisfy either craving.
