The 12 Best THC-Infused Drinks To Celebrate 4/20

4/20 is just a few days away, but celebrations don’t necessarily mean rolling or smoking anymore. As Gen Z shifts gears away from alcohol-infused nights out and towards booze-free and sober-curious alternatives, cannabis culture is shifting gears, too. THC drinks and weed-infused mocktails are on the rise, with plenty of brands, flavors, and drinks to choose from for 4/20, a weeknight in, or a weekend out. Whether you’re a seasoned sipper or new to the cannabis scene, we’ve rounded up the best ready-to-drink THC beverages for all of the buzz without any booze.

What are THC drinks?

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the main psychoactive compound found in cannabis plants, and it makes you feel “high” by producing various effects such as altered perception, relaxation, and euphoria. THC beverages are drinks that have been infused with tetrahydrocannabinol and come in various forms including seltzers, sodas, teas, and even non-alcoholic cocktails. THC-infused beverages offer an alternative way to consume cannabis (rather than smoking or edibles) with effects that can vary depending on the dosage and individual.

Some THC beverages contain only THC and are designed to provide the psychoactive effects or “high” of cannabis. Other THC beverages contain a combination of both THC and cannabidiol (CBD), and the ratio of THC to CBD can vary significantly depending on the product. CBD can help balance the effects of THC, potentially reducing anxiety or other less desirable side effects for some individuals, but some drinks have a much higher ratio of one cannabinoid over the other.
