The Starbucks Holiday Menu Was Released — Here’s What’s On It

With the change of the seasons and the weather getting colder comes not only autumn but the release of the Starbucks holiday menu. Always ahead of the curve and having only introduced their fall drinks for the season less than two months ago, the brand is moving on quickly and bringing back winter this November.

What’s on the Starbucks holiday menu this year?

Starbucks isn’t introducing any new drinks this winter, but they’re bringing four classics back to the coffeehouse: the Caramel Brulée Latte, the Peppermint Mocha, the Iced Gingerbread Chai, and the Iced Sugar Cookie Latte. The Caramel Brulée Latte and the Peppermint Mocha, two of Starbucks’ bestsellers during the holiday season, each highlight a classic warm flavor perfect for the colder months. The Iced Gingerbread Chai and the Iced Sugar Cookie Latte are both on the sweeter side, but focus on bringing a festive joy to their flavors.

Later on in the season, they’re also reviving the Chestnut Praline Latte and the Eggnog Latte. The wintry drinks at Starbucks tend to focus on a sweeter flavor profile, but the Chestnut Praline Latte adds a nutty, earthy taste that balances out the menu.

The brand is also bringing out four new seasonal whole bean blends for coffee lovers to craft their own drinks at home — just in time for the holidays. Available in stores will be the Thanksgiving Blend, the Christmas Blend, the Christmas Blonde Roast, and the Holiday Blend. Not a fan of caffeine? The Christmas Blend comes in decaf as well.

As the seasons change and the weather gets colder, Starbucks is bringing out new foods to celebrate. The Snowman Cookie, the Cranberry Bliss Bar, and the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish are returning, but the company is bringing out two new sweet treats. This winter, Starbucks is launching both the Polar Bear Cake Pop and the Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread — arguably two welcome additions to replace the storied pumpkin flavors of the fall.

What merch is Starbucks releasing this holiday season?

In addition to the seasonal drinks and food set to return, Starbucks is set to release new merchandise — including a collaboration with Hello Kitty. The collab features a travel cup, tumbler, and mug, as well as a Hello Kitty plushie adorned with its own Starbucks barista’s apron.

Aside from the Sanrio collab, Starbucks is bringing out other holiday-themed drinkware as the weather gets colder. The full collection incorporates three tumblers, two mugs, and one bear-shaped cold cup.

While this merch is available at all Starbucks locations, the Starbucks Reserve locations in New York City and Chicago feature their own special releases. New this season are three collections: the Global Roastery Collection, introducing new ornaments and tumblers; the Espresso Martini Collection, which includes espresso-themed merchandise; and the Let It Play collection, which features a limited edition vinyl album and record player. The album, complete with music by Paul McCartney, The Shins, and many more artists, celebrates the integration of music into every Starbucks coffeehouse.

The initial Starbucks holiday drop will be available in stores on November 6, with the last two drinks set to release later in the season on an undisclosed date.
