California, the largest avocado producer in the US, is paying homage to the fine fruit with a museum dedicated to all things avocado. The CADO Museum will open this June in San Diego, and similar to other mobile museums (like The Museum of Ice Cream that’s made its way across the country), it will move throughout the Southwest region of the US.

The whole experience will help you develop a deeper appreciation for avocados than you ever thought possible, with interactive spaces like a grove of avocado trees, a Ripe Room lined with walls made to feel like the texture of a perfectly ripe avocado, and a room that highlights the beauty benefits of avocados. It’s like a giant playroom, but for adults.

The experience ends in The CADO Museum Gift Shop, designed to look like a grocery store. I don’t know about you, but going food shopping is hands down my favorite activity. To me, there’s no better feeling than walking into a supermarket with an empty basket and roaming through endless possibilities. Here, you can choose from things like avocado t-shirts and tote bags, to unique avocado food items like avocado cereal. Yes, cereal.

Tickets went on sale on The CADO’s website on April 10, and at only $27 per person, they’re selling fast. Based off the success of other pop-up museums like this, you need to get your tickets now if you want to go. You’ll have from June 16 through the end of July to visit it at the Liberty Station. Road trip to San Diego, anyone?

So hop on their website now and secure your spot at The CADO. You, your friends, and endless avocados in Cali – nothing could be better.
