Pioneer Woman Has Opened a New Pizza Shop

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Cal Poly chapter.

Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, has won our hearts (and stomachs) with her sweet demeanor and delicious comfort food on the Food Network show “Pioneer Woman.”

With the opening of her luxury hotel and release of her dinnerware collection, it seems that this country girl has done it all. Well, Drummond isn’t stopping there. Last week she announced the opening of her new wood-fired pizza shop called “P-Town Pizza.”

On June 9, Drummond posted a picture on her Pioneer Woman Instagram account captioned: “P-Town Pizza. I think we’re gonna open next week if we can push ourselves over the finish line. In other news, this might not have been the best time to take a break from carbs…”

This announcement came as a surprise to fans, who before Drummond’s Instagram post, were mostly unaware of P-Town Pizza’s development.

The Menu

Now open, P-Town Pizza, located in Drummond’s hometown of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, serves pizza based on Pioneer Woman’s popular recipes. The P-Town Pizza Instagram account has given us a look into other items offered on the menu such as wings, garlic knots, salads, cocktails, and layered mason jar desserts.

Like with every other aspect of her life, Pioneer Woman has gone the extra mile with P-Town Pizza. Even the pepperoni pizza has three different kinds of pepperoni!

The Reviews

Customers have been raving on Facebook over the fig and prosciutto pizza and the “Not Knots” garlic knots. The cocktails did not disappoint either. But with names like marga-REE-ta, how could they?

While I’m intrigued by the leek potato pizza, my sweet tooth is craving the layered mason jar desserts. But one thing is for sure, I now have another reason to add Pawhuska, Oklahoma to my summer road trip destination list.
