Doughnuts are my weakness. When I first started working at Spoon, I had yet learned the benefits of self-control, and ate roughly seven doughnuts on National Doughnut Day. I ended up taking advantage of the sugar high and went to a SoulCycle class to try to "sweat the sugar out," but yeah... Anyways, doughnuts are awesome, but mini doughnuts are better. You can actually eat seven minis without vomiting (probably).
Krispy Kreme must have caught on and in honor of their 80th birthday (which has impressively been celebrated all year long), according to @JunkBanter on Instagram, they're re-releasing Glazed Birthday Cake Mini Crullers.
These mini bites of heaven originally debuted back in May, and they're bringing them back for a victory lap. I don't hate it. I'll probs do the same with my birthday next year.
The minis feature a little more vanilla flavoring, and are decorated (kinda) with sprinkles baked inside, similar to Funfetti cake.
