Stressed about midterms, internship/job applications, and just life in general? Well, donut worry (hahahapleaselaughhahaha) and get ready to be happy, because starting October 10, the Underground Coffee Co. will be serving Knead donuts

For those who have been living under a rock or in the Rock (aaand the puns continue) and haven’t had the time to trudge downhill to Knead’s shop, their donuts are insanely scrumptious.

Fancy and Flavorful

When dunked in coffee, their Chocolate donut’s thick outer layer will dissolve, creating a magical mix of caffeine and gooey chocolate that is sure to power you through the day. Their unusually twisted Espresso Bean donut is buttery and dense, with a sugar glaze and chocolate drizzle, and when held down in coffee absorbs the beverage to create an explosion of glorious, sweet bitterness. Their Apple Cider donut, made with local apple cider and covered in sugar and cinnamon, is the ideal treat to push you into the fall mood.

And these are just a select few.

So what can you expect?

As the anticipation mounts, imagine biting into Knead’s legendary sugary goodness, and eating your feelings away with two of their most sought-after flavors: super rich, cakey chocolate and sweet, classic vanilla.

For the more adventurous, there will be a third rotating special flavor that will change daily and provide a nice surprise for your taste buds. This “surprise” donut will be of the more exotic variety, from Espresso Bean and Apple Cider (described above) to more delicate flavors like Passion Fruit and Blueberry Lemonade.

Gone are the days of needing to take a field trip down the hill to taste the wonder of Knead, or being sad because they only deliver Downtown. Now, this iconic Providence staple is only a short walk from your classes, so if you’ve had a rough Orgo midterm, or if you’ve sat through the most boring lecture of your life, the Underground’s new stock of delicious donuts will give you something to look forward to.

Come down and try them, and get ready to relive the days of your freshman fifteen all over again

Just in case you haven’t been to the Underground yet, it’s located under the Blue Room in Faunce (or, as some first years call it, the "Stephen Robert '62 Campus Center"). The Underground serves coffee using beans from Dave's Coffee, as well as tea from Farmacy Herbs Tea, and is one of the coziest spots on campus.

It’s ideal for studying, chilling, and, from next week onwards, pigging out on donuts. Check out their Facebook page.
