KIND PRIDE Bars Return With 100% of Net Sales Donated to Homeless LGBTQIA+ Youth

Chances are, you clicked on this article because you saw KIND and/or pride in the title. The thing is, KIND is being KIND again by releasing their KIND PRIDE bars, which gives back to the community; specifically to the homeless LGBTQIA+ youth community. For me, it always feels as if KIND is doing something KIND for the world that we live in, and truly, it’s something beautiful to watch. On that note, here’s what you need to know about KIND’s new KIND PRIDE bars.

What to know.

The thing is, KIND PRIDE bars are hitting shelves later this month, which is very soon since the month of May is practically over. For National Pride Month in June, “100% of net sales will be donated to the Ali Forney Center (AFC), a long-standing KIND partner & this year’s NYC Pride March Grand Marshal, to assist in its efforts to protect and empower homeless LGBTQIA+ youth across the country. Due to COVID-19, AFC’s services have been needed more than ever before, and we’re proud to support their efforts,” as stated in an email.

The flavor of KIND PRIDE is KIND’s best-selling and my personal favorite flavor, Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt, and can be found on kindsnacks.com, Wegmans, Duane Reade, and New York City corner stores starting in late May while supplies last. The suggested retail price is $15.49 for a box of 12 bars. Another thing to note about the KIND PRIDE bar is that it’s part of the KIND Snack & Give Back Project, which is a multi-year program to inspire kindness and empathy. “Since KIND’s founding in 2004, KIND has championed kindness as a transformative force for good – it encourages people to step out of their comfort zones, connect in authentic ways and discover each other’s humanity. The KIND Snack & Give Back Project, KIND is hoping to direct more compassion and elevate values like kindness and empathy,” as stated in an email.

As Lana Del Rey would say in her song “American,” “be young, be dope, be proud.” You shouldn’t have to hide who you are as a person in order to be accepted. Trek on and trek forth, as for I’m over and out.
