How To Throw A ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ Listening Party

This Friday is a national holiday for the Swifties. As Taylor Swift prepares to release her 12th studio album, her fans are preparing to sit down and listen. The Life of a Showgirl, shockingly announced on her fiance Travis Kelce’s podcast New Heights, is based on Swift’s experience traveling around the world on her record-breaking tour, The Eras Tour. The album has 12 tracks, and fans are anxiously awaiting its release. The absence of singles for the album has made the anticipation even higher. If you are a Swiftie yourself and looking forward to listening to the new album with your friends or family, here’s the best decoration, food, drink, and outfit ideas to host a The Life of a Showgirl listening party.

Decorations

@sageandoakcreative

With one week until #October3rd and the release of thelifeofashowgirl, it’s time to start the PARTYYYYY PREP! Starting with this handpainted banner for a customer’s listening party. Who is going to @AMC Theatres next week?? #bannerpainting #paintedbanner #taylorswiftparty

Brown paper banners are so popular right now, and what a better occasion to get creative with one than for a Taylor Swift party? A relatively inexpensive decoration option, all you need is brown paper and some paint, and you can choose whatever you want the design to be. Content creator @sageandoakcreative on TikTok painted disco balls and orange and teal designs on a banner.

This creative banner pays homage to the friendship bracelets exchanged at the Eras Tour and also welcomes in a new music era for Swift. Content creator @theamazingmaia made theirs colorful and perfect for anything Taylor Swift themed. The video says that an orange backdrop will go right behind the banner, combining both her old and new eras, and also shows tons of mirrorballs, a teal table runner, and an orange curtain for a polaroid photo booth.

The life of a showgirl party ideas! This was just a fun little set up for my daughter and it was so much fun to create. We made matching shirts, crafted, and had themed treats. It was such a fun afternoon anticipating Taylor swifts new album. #thelifeofashowgirl #taylorswift Taylor swift party ideas

TikToker @thepriceadventure also went all out with decoration ideas for a The Life of a Showgirl party. Complete with a teal and orange balloon arch, and streamers, feathers, and sequins everywhere, these decorations are perfect for the new album.

Food

Life of a showgirl themed snacks. This snack box was so easy and fun to put together and it was fun looking for teal and orange candy. I love Taylor Swift theme parties, and treats that go along with it.

TikTok user @sartoricheese made an elaborate The Life of a Showgirl inspired charcuterie board, complete with different cheeses, fruits, and crackers all fitting the orange theme. Feel free to get creative with what you include on yours to make it match the new album theme.

Drinks

While an aperol spritz automatically fits the orange-everything theme of The Life of a Showgirl, TikTok user @barrette.nyc came up with a martini option for your listening party. With an orange sugar rim and light blue colored drink, this cocktail will match perfectly with all of your party decorations and food.

@apinchofirish

The Life of A ShowgGirl Mocktail is a fizzy, fruity mash-up of :
3–4 fresh raspberries
3–4 fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
1 tbsp strawberry syrup ( made mine with strawberry’s lemon juice and a sugar substitution )
Ice
Brewed iced tea (black or green)
Lemonade
Ginger ale or Sprite (for a sweeter twist)
Orange slices
Extra raspberries + mint sprig (for garnish)
In a glass, muddle the raspberries, mint leaves, and strawberry syrup until fragrant and juicy.
Fill the glass with ice.
Pour in iced tea until the glass is halfway full.
Add lemonade until the glass is about ¾ full.
Top it off with a splash of ginger ale or Sprite for that bubbly finish.
Garnish with a skewer of raspberries, a slice of orange or lemon , and a mint sprig.
It looks fancy, tastes amazing, and takes zero effort to make just pour, garnish, and drink up . #thelifeofashowgirl #mocktailrecipe #swifttok #drinkrecipies

If you want a mocktail option for your party, try out this fruity drink made by content creator @apinchofirish on TikTok. All you need is strawberry syrup, iced tea, and lemonade for the drink itself, and you can garnish with raspberries, mint leaves, or whatever else you’d like.

Outfits

An orange outfit is a must to fit the theme of The Life of a Showgirl. Content creator @citysipschicago on TikTok made a how-to guide to throwing a whole listening party, and the outfit choices are all sparkly, shimmery orange tops and dresses. Feel free to throw in a pop of teal as well to fully encapsulate the vibe.

If you want to throw in a festive accessory, try making these sunglasses from @livingwithdanielle’s video. All you need is orange sunglasses and a Cricut, like used in the video, or even just teal letter stickers to write out The Life of a Showgirl on the lenses.
