How to Eat Latkes For Every Meal of the Day

After the first few days of Chanukah, I bet you are already filled up with your fair share of latkes and apple sauce. Growing up, I believed that this was the only way to eat the holiday treat; however, with a little bit of creativity, those boring days of latke-eating are long gone. These potato pancakes are surprisingly so versatile that they can be eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Who would have thought? With these revolutionary ideas, the next few nights of eating latkes will be as exciting and delicious as ever.

Breakfast:

1. Latke Avocado Toast

Avocado toast is not just a trend, but rather a delicious invention that is here to stay. No need for bread when you can try it on a latke.  Try adding a poached egg!

2. Everything Bagel Lox Latkes

Turn your usual weekend bagel order into a more festive breakfast with this recipe. Season your latkes with some everything bagel spices and top them with cream cheese and lox.

3. Latke Eggs Benedict

This one is for you, boujee brunch eaters. Top your latke with a poached egg and some hollandaise sauce.

4. Latke Waffles

Chanukah breakfast never tasted so good! Whip up some latkes to your liking and reinvent them by pressing them in a waffle maker.

Lunch/Dinner:

1. Latke Sandwiches/Burger

Grab two latkes and your favorite deli meat or burger. Just like that, you have a flavorful sandwich. Once you throw away the boring bread, you may never look back.

2. Latke Nachos

We all love nachos, and we all love latkes. So who is to say that latke nachos won’t be amazing? What are you waiting for? Grab the cheese and your favorite nachos ingredients and start topping.

3. Latke Pizza

You may be thinking that this sounds strange. However, the first person to try matzah pizza was probably thinking the same thing, and we all know how well that turned out.

Dessert

1. Chocolate-Dipped Latkes

Chocolate dipped latkes are just like chocolate-dipped potato chips. The salty and sweet combination works perfectly and will have you craving these all eight nights.

Now that Chanukah is upon us, it’s time to give these ideas a try (if your mouth is not already watering). How many days can you last on latkes? With these creations I promise you will be loving the latke life and never return to the boring days of just apple sauce again.
