Homemade pickled Lemons

  • Fresh Lemon - 1 kg
  • Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 250 gm
  • Salt - 2 tbsp
  • Black salt - 1 tbsp
  • Caraway seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Black Pepper - 1 tbsp

  • Step 1

    Wash the Lemons under running water and wipe them dry.

    Cut the tiny dollops of sunshine into wedges. Preferably 8 wedges per Lemon.

    In a bowl, mix Red Chilly powder, Sugar, Salt, Black salt, Caraway seeds and Black Pepper. Add in the Lemons. Mix until the lemon is evenly coated with the spice mixture.

    Transfer into a mason jar. Preserve for 24 days.

Serve your homemade pickled Lemons with boiled rice or Indian bread. It tastes just as Scrumptious on its own :)
