With the holidays coming up, traveling is inevitable. Whether by car, bus, train or airplane, everyone is going somewhere. Some will be traveling for less than 3 hours and others for 5 or more, but it doesn't matter how long you are going to be traveling, you are probably going to want to eat something on the way. 

We are always tempted to bring snacks that might not be the healthiest option to make it easier, or the biggest temptation,  stop at fast food restaurants on the way. There are a few healthy snack ideas that are easy to eat and bring to your road trip, they will not only keep you from getting fast food, but they will keep you satisfied and awake.

1. Hummus with Carrot Sticks

Hummus is always a good option when you want to have a tasty and healthy snack. It is easy to pack, and it will keep your tummy full for a decent amount of time. 

2. Fruit

Fruit is probably one of the easiest and healthiest snack to bring. There are so many delicious options when you are hungry or tired. 

3. Popcorn

Popcorn is the perfect snack to bring on a road trip for when craving something salty. You can get Skinny Pop packages at any store, and you won't be eating the same amount of calories you would if you buy and make buttered popcorn. 

4. Granola Bars

Granola bars will keep you awake and it's also a perfect snack for when you are not too hungry but feel like eating something to kill time. Make sure you are bringing bars that don't have too many calories and small percentages of sugar that will be sure to fill you up for any upcoming trip.
