Food Delivery Showdown: Uber Eats vs. Postmates

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Tulane chapter.

When it comes to college students, time is of the essence. With busy schedules and sub-par cafeteria food, food delivery services have become the next big thing. Now that both Uber Eats and Postmates are at our disposal here in NOLA, there’s only one question: which one is better?

Overall Evaluation

Looking at them side by side, Uber Eats food delivery was quicker than Postmates by about 10 minutes. The general consensus I found when talking to others was that Uber Eats usually delivered the fastest between the two. A unique thing about Postmates is that you can make custom orders from places like Whole Foods or Walgreens– aka, no more frantically running errands.

In the end, there is no clear winner. Both Uber Eats and Postmates food delivery have made our lives just a little bit easier down here in New Orleans. Next time you want to have a family dinner with your friends in your dorm while also wearing pajamas, both Uber Eats and Postmates will not fail to deliver.
