What Your Favorite Nut Butter Says About You

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at BU chapter.

Scanning the grocery store for your favorite nut butter, you may come across different people looking for their favorite as well. I’ve found that there are some distinguishable characteristics between these different people, almost as much as the different nut butters lining grocery store aisles. Which one are you?

You feel like you’re really trendy, and know what the cool things are before they’re cool, but you would never admit it. You’re probably also the one to update your friends on a cool art exhibit or new underground band. You make sure to let people know that you like almond butter instead of peanut butter, because you’re proud. So proud, that you most likely know some of the best ways to use almond butter, but here are a few more.

You’re the OG, and as loyal as it gets. You probably have a golden retriever and grew up eating PB&J everyday for lunch. You have a friendly and warm disposition that everyone is attracted to. And you’re probably the one your friends trust to give the best advice. Keep doing you, PB.

You’re super healthy in all aspects of your life. You’re also pretty active. You don’t “do” yoga, you “practice” yoga, and you have probably explained the difference between the two on numerous occasions. You feel like you know this ‘best kept secret’ about sunflower seeds, and that it’s highly underrated. People admire you for your independence and originality.

#SpoonTip: You can use sunflower seeds in another cool way with these cookies. They’re super simple and delicious.

You don’t mess around. You know what you like, and you aren’t swayed easily. You’re efficient, motivated, and don’t take anyone’s crap. You get sh*t done, and you do it well. You’re someone a lot of people look to for inspiration. You’ve probably mostly used powdered peanut butter to make shakes (which is the most common way to use it), but here are a few more ways to get powdered peanut butter in your diet.
