Emma Chamberlain is a Gen Z “It Girl.” From hosting her own Spotify podcast and collabing Erewhon on both a dessert and a smoothie, Chamberlain is just, well, cool. Though she got her start on YouTube in the late 2010s, the internet sensation — who made her love of coffee very clear throughout her videos — founded Chamberlain Coffee in 2020. Since then, the brand has expanded its range of products to include coffee beans, matcha tea, canned drinks and plenty of merch, and gained a massive following in the meantime. And while Chamberlain Coffee is available at grocery retailers nationwide, the brand is officially giving Starbucks, Dunkin’, and other brick-and-mortar coffee shops a run for their money with the eponymous Chamberlain Coffee cafe, which opens tomorrow in Los Angeles.
What is the Emma Chamberlain Coffee café?
Chamberlain Coffee has been hinting at the café since December, posting a mood board for the new year with as well as clay-mation shorts featuring paint buckets and ladders. The café, though, had not been officially confirmed until a LinkedIn post from the brand on January 29.
“We’ve brought our love for organic, specialty-grade coffee to life in a whole new way,” wrote Chamberlain Coffee on LinkedIn, saying that the shop is “designed for great coffee, great energy, and moments worth sharing.” According to sneak peeks on social media, the Chamberlain Coffee café will feature a selection of Chamberlain Coffee’s signature brews, as well as its beloved matcha.
In an Instagram story reposted by @ChamberlainCoffee, user @samiknighthair shows off the cafe, which is decorated in the brand’s signature cute bold aesthetic, and pans across a glass pastry case filled with a selection of flavored and plain croissants, lemon poppyseed madelines, and loaf cakes, as well as a few gluten-free doughnuts. The quick video also showcases Chamberlain Coffee boat totes, and a glass case filled with ready-to-drink vanilla, brown sugar, and cinnamon bun flavored Chamberlain Coffee oatmilk lattes.
Knight also wrote that the “Coffee was 10/10.”
