Whether it’s 3 consecutive midterms the week after Pig Roast, 17-page papers on stuff you definitely never learned, or the fact that you’ve got about 2 more days until you’re out of dining dollars, there isn’t a single student on this campus not ready for a break.
(And if you happen to be that one person who has nothing to do: shut up. We hate you.)

Fortunately, there are only a few more weeks until the words “cumulative final exam” aren’t in your vocabulary, and the only accounting you’ll be doing is the number of shots you take. The shit-show that is Beach Week is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with a really good drink?

These drinks look and taste amazing, are super easy to make, and most importantly, will get you drunk enough to forget about the fact that you probably failed all of your finals.

Pomegranate Pick-Me-Up

Servings: 1

Ingredients:
2 shots Pomegranate Burnetts
1 pack Pomegranate-Cranberry Emergen-C
½ cup Cranberry juice
½ cup Pink Lemonade

Directions:
1. Pour 2 shots of Burnetts over ice.

2. Add an entire packet of Pomegranate-Canberry Emergen-C. (We’re using Emergen-C because Vitamin C is a proven immune system booster and there is no way that spending every waking moment on the second floor of the library is healthy.)

3. Fill the rest of the glass with equal parts cranberry juice and pink lemonade.

Classy Ginger

Ingredients:
½ cup chilled champagne
1 shot Malibu Coconut Rum
¼ cup Mango orange juice
¼ cup Ginger beer

Directions:
1. Fill your glass less than halfway with chilled Champagne. (You can totally be as fancy as you want with the champagne brand, but nothing says “classy” like $7.99 Andre from the Getty.)

2. Add 1 shot of Malibu.

3. Splash in mango orange juice.

4. Fill the rest of the glass with ginger beer.

Skinny Bitch

It’s hard not to be a little concerned about your bod when you have to spend all day in a bikini. The Bai5 is full of healthy antioxidants and Skinny Girl has less than half the calories of a standard margarita. This will leave you will feeling much less guilty about empty cals, especially when you go for that 3rd slice of pizza.

¼ cup Skinny Girl Margarita
1 shot Burnett’s lime vodka
¼ cup Pomegranate Bai5
1 pack of yellow single-serve Crystal Light

Directions:
1. Start with a hefty portion of Skinny Girl Margarita.

2. Add a shot of Burnett’s lime vodka.

3. Mix a packet of yellow single-serve Crystal Light.

4. Top off with pomegranate Bai5 (5 calories, so #thin).

There you have it, 3 easy Beach Week drinks that are waaaaay less basic than mimosas. So while you work your ass off for the next few weeks, just remind yourself that there is a Myrtle Beach-sized light at the end of the tunnel. And if the promise of bikinis, booze, and day-long debauchery isn’t enough to make the all-nighters in Boatwright worth it, then I don’t know what’s wrong with you.
