Some people identify as a foodie, whereas I like to call myself a snacker. And the best thing I ever did for myself in college (*drum roll please*) was building a snack nook. If you find yourself wishing you had time between online classes to run to your kitchen to make your fourth iced coffee or grab a snack between meetings, you need a snack nook. Having a small dedicated area in your room all about quick pick me ups and easy meals will totally change your work or study life.
To start, look around your room and find a corner or wall that isn’t being utilized. You don’t need a ton of space, just enough room for a cart or a bookcase, or both! Think about what you want access to most, whether that’s cold drinks or hot coffee and then build your space around your priorities (and favorite appliances, like a microwave - this one’s my fave!).
