Lay’s is known for having tons of crazy flavor ideas through their “Do Us A Flavor” competitions. In the past submissions included Butter Chicken Crisps, Mango Salsa, and Cappuccino. Now the chip giant is looking to broaden their horizons with a new combo they created themselves.
Milk and Dark Chocolate-Covered Lay’s. They look a little like this:

Taking sweet and salty to another level this new chip will cost you about $3.49 for a 5-ounce bag.
Unfortunately, these chips will only be sold for a limited trial run through the holidays, exclusively in Target stores. But, don’t fear — if the chip does well it might become a permanent addition.

This would open up future flavor ideas to chocolatey limits we can only dream of — Smores, Brownie, or dare I say Oreo Lay’s?
So get to Tar-Jay and buy the cheapest coolest present for your foodie friend. Or for yourself. Just do it so that we can start coming up with other salty-sweet ideas already.
