All Of The Celebrity Cookbooks To Look Forward To In 2023

As I approach the end of the first month of 2023, I’m already looking to spice up my kitchen routine. What better way to do so than to try out new recipes in cookbooks. Finding the right cookbook can be hard, so I tend to look to the stars for all of my recipe needs — celebrities and influencers, they’re just like us! So many popular celebs are releasing their own cookbooks this year, here’s a list of all of the books to look out for. 

Mary Berry’s Baking Bible: Revised and Updated

Everyone’s favorite former Great British Baking Show judge is releasing a new and updated version of her 2010 book Mary Berry’s Baking Bible. The new edition carries the same name but adds more than 250 new recipes including Sticky Apricot Pudding and her classic Bakewell slices. Mary Berry’s Baking Bible: Revised and Updated comes out May 9, 2023.

Ya’ll Eat Yet?: Welcome To The Pretty B*tichin’ Kitchen

Think country singers’ only talent is their music? Miranda Lambert’s debut cookbook Ya’ll Eat Yet?: Welcome To The Pretty B*tichin’ Kitchen is coming to prove you wrong. Lambert’s collection of recipes is reflective of her Texas roots and is a celebration of her friends and family. I for one can’t wait to try her whiskey cupcakes after the book is released on April 25, 2023. 

One: Simple One-Pan Wonders

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is back with his new cookbook One: Simple One-Pan Wonders. With over 120 recipes, Oliver makes cooking easy for readers — all the recipes have 8 or fewer ingredients. For busy college students like me and those looking for stress-free and delicious recipes, this is the perfect buy. One: Simple One-Pan Wonders is out now. 

Bake Me A Cat

If you’re a Great British Baking Show fan like myself, you definitely know Kim-Joy — her infectious personality never failed to leave me wanting to watch more. After being one of the runners up on the show, Kim-Joy has released two cookbooks and her third, Bake Me A Cat, is being released on May 9, 2023. If you’re a dog person, this book, filled with cat-themed recipes like “Meow Bao” and “Kit-tea Scones,” might not be for you. If you are just as obsessed with cats as Kim-Joy, her newest cookbook will make the perfect edition to your shelf. 

Trejo’s Cantina: Cocktails, Snacks & Amazing Non-Alcoholic Drinks from the Heart of Hollywood

Back in 2020, Danny Trejo released his first cookbook Trejo’s Tacos: Recipes and Stories From LA. He will follow that up this year with Trejo’s Cantina: Cocktails, Snacks & Amazing Non-Alcoholic Drinks from the Heart of Hollywood. As the title suggests, Trejo’s newest book celebrates the idea of “the cantina” through simple recipes that cater to all including everything from Vegan Tamales to spicy Margaritas and will be available for purchase April 18, 2023. 

The Pepperpot Diaries

Celebrity chef and former singer Andi Oliver is releasing her debut cookbook, The Pepperpot Diaries, on May 30, 2023. This release has been long-awaited by her fans and promises to explore Oliver’s Caribbean heritage through its recipes. Oliver’s book is perfect for those who already love Caribbean flavors and for those who want to expand their boundaries.

Bread Every Day: Bake With Jack

Jack Sturgess — aka Bake With Jack on social media — is releasing his first cookbook, Bread Every Day: Bake With Jack on January 17, 2023. Jack’s YouTube channel has 218,000 subscribers that he teaches how to make the perfect loaf of bread, and his upcoming book aims to do the same. If you’re looking to get into the world of bread-making, Jack’s book is the perfect fit to help you reach your bread-crafting goals. 

Guga: Breaking the Barbecue Rules

If you’re a barbecue fanatic, you’ve definitely seen or heard of Gustavo Tosta — aka “Guga” — and his popular cooking YouTube channel, “Guga Foods.” In his new cookbook released April 25, 2023, Guga promises to introduce new methods to those new to the world of barbecue and teach even the most seasoned barbecue enthusiasts new tricks. In addition to all of the recipes made on the grill, Guga also includes some of my personal favorites in sides like smoked mac and cheese and elote.

Continuing on the vein of comfort foods, chef Jocelyn Delk Adams’ new cookbook is an approachable take on Southern comfort food favorites. With over 80 recipes inside, the book is even endorsed by Jennifer Garner who wrote that “Jocelyn’s infectious joy and love for food and family leap from the pages to your table. Your family will be begging for seconds in no time.” Adams’ book will be released March 14, 2023.

Flavor Kitchen: Vibrant Recipes with Creative Twists

The third Great British Bake Off alum on our list, Crystelle Pereira’s new cookbook is inspired by her Portuguese-Goan heritage and by her travels. Pereira’s recipes incorporate ingredients and spices you have at home, but puts a new spin on more traditional recipes. After watching Pereira receive the coveted handshake from Paul Hollywood, I’ve got to try her food and will definitely be waiting for her book to hit the shelves on June 13, 2023. 

Cooking for the Culture: Recipes and Stories from the New Orleans Streets to the Table

Behind chef Toya Boudy’s new cookbook are the stories that have shaped her life — from her upbringing in New Orleans to her time on Food Network. Cooking for the Culture is a celebration of the city of New Orleans and its cuisine and highlights delicious recipes like Sweet Cream Farina and the New Orleans staple, Jambalaya. Boudy’s book will be released February 7, 2023.

You Can Cook This!: Turn the 30 Most Commonly Wasted Foods into 135 Delicious Plant-Based Meals

Want to cut back on your food waste? You Can Cook This! from social media sensation and chef Max La Manna promises to show you how to better utilize some of the most commonly wasted foods in new and innovative ways. La Manna polled his almost a million Instagram followers for over a year and asked them what foods they threw out the most. Then, he used these results as the foundations for recipes like Cauliflower Ragu and Coffee Ground Pancakes. You Can Cook This! will be released April 11, 2023, and I can’t wait to try and repurpose the things I might normally throw in the trash. 

Fitwaffle’s Baked In One

Eloise Head — better known as “Fitwaffle” on social media — is releasing her collection of over 100 delicious and easy cakes that can all be baked in the same pan. Every recipe in the book fits into one baking tin, and some even have fewer than five ingredients and don’t need to be baked at all! Head’s book will be released April 11, 2023, and as a baker and a college student, I’m excited to try out her easy low mess and low stress recipes.

Gordon Ramsay’s Uncharted

We all know celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay — whether that be because you watched Hell’s Kitchen or you’ve just laughed at never ending memes of him berating his chefs (with love, of course). What you may not have seen is his television series Uncharted, a collaboration with National Geographic in which Ramsay traveled around the world to remote locations to experience a culture through food. A cookbook version of the show, Gordon Ramsay’s Uncharted, is being released April 25, 2023, and is an illustrated collection of Ramsay’s journeys that includes over 75 recipes coupled with insights about the many places Ramsay has been.
