Where You Can Get Drunk Off of Ice Cream

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Wake Forest chapter.

I scream, you scream, we all (over 21) scream for getting drunk off of ice cream! Many people have been hopping on the alcohol-infused ice cream trend, because what better way to mask the taste of alcohol than to pair it with delicious ice cream?

BuzzBar Ice Cream was one of the first companies to sell gourmet alcohol-infused ice cream and sorbet bars, each made with all-natural ingredients and no high fructose corn syrup (so basically they’re healthy, right?). Some of their cleverly concocted flavors include Creamy Cookie (made with bourbon melded into rich Cookies ‘n Cream ice cream and coated with a luscious dark chocolate shell) and Vanilla Daze (made with silky vanilla bean ice cream blended with smooth French cognac). Sorbet bars include refreshing flavors such as Citrus Berr Drop, Majestic Mango, and Mojito Madness, all blended with the perfect proportions of liquor and sorbet. Buzzbars can be found nationwide at premier retailer, hotels, stadiums, and even your local grocery store!

The Ice Cream Bar company is also a big name in the alcohol-infused ice-cream business. They sell their alcoholic ice cream and sorbet in various store locations throughout Georgia. These locations include local convenience shops, liquor stores, hotels, restaurants, and event venues. Claiming to be “the best thing to happen to alcohol since prohibition ended,” The Ice Cream Bar offers a variety of liquor-infused ice creams and sorbets. What better way to get drunk than off of something as delicious as ice cream?

The Ice Cream Bar specializes in their “one pint, 3 shots” liquor ice cream, as well as craft beer ice cream. Year round ice cream pint flavors include the White Russian, Brandy Alexander Chip, Mojito Sorbet, and Bourbon Butter Pecan. Each pint has around an 8.3% alcohol by volume (ABV). The fun flavors don’t stop there, as the craft beer pints include flavors such as Malted Milk Chocolate Stout, Vanilla Bock, Honey IPA, and Peach Lambic just to name a few.

Next up is SnöBar, which offers frozen cocktail ice cream and ice pops with a full cocktail in every serving. Shannon Masjedi, founder of SnöBar, worked diligently with mixologists, chefs, and food scientists to perfect her master pieces with superior taste, texture, and alcohol ratio. Some of their phenomenal ice pop flavors include margarita, mojito, and cosmopolitan. Decadent ice cream flavors include Grasshopper, Brandy Alexander Chocolate Chip, and Pink Squirrel. The Snöbar website even provides a pdf of creative recipes to make with their ice creams. Who wouldn’t want to mix alcohol-infused ice cream with even more alcohol and even more ice cream to make some fancy craft cocktails?

Snöbar ice-pops and ice cream can be found in the freezer section of liquor stores, in addition to bars, restaurants, and even night clubs. What better place to enjoy a nice cocktail ice cream pop than at a lavish Las Vegas resort or club? Snöbar ice-pops and ice cream have set up camp at top Vegas resorts such as Tao, Wet Republic, Bellagio, MGM Grand and Caesar’s Palace.

With all these new alcohol-infused ice cream options, you’ll never want to go back to plain old cocktails. Why drink alcohol when you can eat it in the delicious form of ice cream?
