Colorado College students often voice their frustration with the repetitive dining options in Rastall. If you’re tired of eating french fries, pasta and pizza for every meal, here are just a few hacks to mix up your dining options as well as some hidden items a lot of students don’t know about.

There are three containers of lemon slices hiding throughout Rastall: one next to the Coke machine, one by the salad dressings, and one near the tea and coffee station. You can add lemon to your water for a fancy touch.

2. BYOA (Bring Your Own Avocado)

Extra meal plan money? Pick up an avocado from the C Store or the Preserve and bring it to Rastall. You can make guac, add it to salads/sandwiches, or just eat it with a spoon. Here are some other creative ways to use an avocado.

3. Rootbeer Floats

Put some vanilla soft-serve in a cup and add rootbeer from the soda machine. Stick a straw and spoon in it and voilá. (Or if you’re feeling tiredyou can use coffee instead of rootbeer).

4. Sriracha

You should put Sriracha on everything. You can find it with some other sauces at the end of the grill line.

5. Hummus

Many people don’t know there is homemade hummus at the sandwich bar. Sometimes they even have special flavors (like sriracha). You can put it on sandwiches, salads, and even dip chips in it.
