7 Food Trends the Gilmore Girls Would Totally Hate

So, if you aren’t living under a rock, you may have heard that GILMORE GIRLS IS COMING BACK WITH NEW EPISODES! I’m super excited, in case you couldn’t tell. In honor of the new episodes, here are some food trends that have popped up in recent years that Lorelai and Rory would totally hate — imagine the rants/one liners they could get out of these. Bring on the “Oy with the poodles already.”

Veganism

This diet cuts out all the classic junk food — and let’s face it, there’s no way there’s vegan anything in Stars Hollow. Veganism would probably make Sookie go insane (remember her hatred for those vegetarian inn guests?). Luke would probably try to embrace it, but let’s face it, no one in Stars Hollow would put up with that ish.

Like the Gilmore Girls are gonna put up with anything that means a lack of Pop-Tarts (or pizza). Also, what the heck would Luke serve that doesn’t involve gluten? Salads? Ick.

Kale

Kale is a super food that tastes nasty. Sookie and Luke may have some fun trying to make the good folks of Stars Hollow eat it, but let’s be real, the Gilmores would shut it down.

All-Natural Foods

All they eat in Stars Hallow are processed foods, so do you really think they’d be okay with this? Plus, they can’t really cook to save their lives, and no way could the Dragonfly or Lukes afford to feed them every meal.

No dairy, grain, or processed foods allowed. Need I say more?

That would mean no tacos, and who wants to live like that? Plus, the Gilmore’s method of sustenance involves a lot of unboxing and dumping onto trays and plates.

No Pop-Tarts, no ice cream, no takeout. A Gilmore without Pop-Tarts would probably be like Sookie when she can’t cook — terrifying and totally cray cray.
