Parks & Rec has ended, but we can learn to cope with the help of Netflix and Leslie’s favorite food- waffles. Transform any plain waffle recipe (like this one) into Pawnee perfection and impress even the most stuck-up of Eagletonians with just a few quick waffle hacks.
1. Leslie Knope’s Birthday Waffles

Leslie Knope is the number one gift-giving champ OF ALL TIME, so birthdays are basically her bread and butter (or waffles and whipped cream). Combine two of her favorite things by replacing the flour in a waffle recipe with funfetti cake mix. Top with sprinkles, icing, and copious amounts of whipped cream.

2. Ron Swanson’s Meat Waffles

We hear you, Ron. Just layer on all the bacon and eggs you have onto a super-fluffy waffle for a breakfast that Ron and Leslie can finally agree on.

3. Ben Wyatt’s “Ice Cream Cones of Dunshire” Waffles

Ben’s board game might not have been appreciated by anyone besides his friends at the accounting firm and the characters in his claymash’, but we can all appreciate some good old-fashioned ice cream. Scoop your favorite flavor onto a waffle and sprinkle on some crushed ice-cream cones for an added crunch. Don’t forget the sprinkles.

4. Tom Haverford’s “Ladies Want S’more” Waffles

Quoth Tom Haverford, “[I’m] obviously chocolate, ’cause I’m sweet, smooth, and the ladies love me.” Keep a firm grasp on your socks, ladies- they’re about to get knocked off. Top your waffles with marshmallows and some Nutella, chocolate sauce, or chocolate chips (or all three). Microwave for a few seconds for that extra ooey-gooey Haverford charm.*

5. Andy and April’s Mouth Surprise

Andy and April are the most immature people we know (in the best way), so go crazy here. Whipped cream, M&M’s, strawberry sauce that looks like blood- you name it. Top the whole thing off with some marshmallows from your marshmallow gun, pull out your best Frisbees to dine off of, and dig in.
