If you are a foodie, you must have heard of Spoon University before on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter. If by chance, you've not heard of Spoon University, Spoon University is a food and health publication that's written by college students, for college students. There are Spoon chapters all over the world—in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and India! Well... SPOON IS COMING TO MIT!
Spoon is constantly growing, and here at MIT we just started our own chapter! We're looking for people to join our crew! If you are looking to join a group of people who love food as much as you do, here are five reasons why you should join us:
1. You're obsessed with food, obviously... who isn't, right?
We are constantly trying out new things both ON and OFF campus. Sometimes, we can even get the fancy food reimbursed! Join us to explore Boston and fulfill your desire :).
Other times, we chill and cook together, to explore new recipes and come up with something creative for other MIT students. If this is what you love, you should become part of our Spoon family.
2. You've been dying to create your food Insta because you're scared... no worries, we are here to help you.
Have you ever wanted to create a food Insta account but were afraid that you won't have a lot of followers? Don't worry. Once we get our Instagram and Facebook pages up and running, you will have all the tools and skills you need to successfully run an account, with help from other foodies in our chapter and across the Spoon chapters around the world! Come join us and fulfill your dream of having a food Insta!!
3. You love taking pictures, writing articles, and editing videos related to food, wellness, or just ANYTHING in life <3
Once you're in Spoon, you are in it for Life! We will teach you all the professional skills you need for editing video/photos, taking the best pictures, writing articles, getting the most likes online, and even finding the best restaurant to nom on. The Spoon University HQ provides every chapter with the best resource online to help us run our chapter successfully and make sure all our members are professional editors. Join us if you want to dig deeper into your passion!
4. You can be a STAR and POPULAR!
Spoon University has over 120K followers on Instagram, 180K likes on Facebook, and over 12K followers on Twitter. What you write/create for our chapter has the potential to reach over 300K people around the world. Where else can you get such an amazing opportunity? Only at Spoon University @ MIT.

We know you have PSETs, exams, and other things in life. We swear! Spoon University @ MIT is not at all a time commitment; but rather, a way for you to de-stress from the academic pressure! No one will force you to write, take pictures, or edit videos. Commit as much as you want. Or just be a member and enjoy all the food with us :).
