5 Netflix Titles to Sink Your Teeth In

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Binghamton chapter.

When we’re all out of things to watch, we always look towards Netflix for some good ol’ binge-watching. Can’t decide? These food-related shows will help take you out of your boredom (or distract you from studying).

1. Mind of a Chef (Season 1)

Each 30 minute episode is jam-packed with information, inspiration and mouth-watering dishes from different countries, cultures and acclaimed chefs. It really goes to show how artistry combined with science can create something so pleasing to the eyes and the stomach. David Chang, the creator of Momofuku and host of the show, keeps you watching with his light-hearted humor and food creations.

2. Bob’s Burgers

Bob’s Burgers wins most underrated comedy of the year. This TV show follows the life of the Belchers who live above their restaurant – Bob’s burgers. Full of puns and too many moments that need to be GIFed, it’s a must-watch if you’re looking to find something entertaining on Netflix. There’s even a tumblr dedicated to all the burgers Bob makes in each episode. Check out this scene from their episode “Easy Com-mercial, Easy Go-mercial”!

3. Jiro Dreams of Sushi

An aesthetically pleasing and mouth-watering documentary about Jiro-Ono, an 85 year-old sushi master in Japan. I’ll definitely be visiting his restaurant in Japan
when I’m not a broke college student. If you’re looking to watch more food documentaries, click here.

4. Adventure Time

Adventure Time is a kid’s show
not for kids. Although this isn’t a food-focused show, there are so many moments like the ‘everything burrito’ and Jake’s ‘most delicious sandwich’ that’ll make you love every 11-minute episode. Watch this clip from the episode “Time Sandwich”.

5. Kitchen Nightmares

Gordon Ramsay. ‘Nuff said.
