After the hell week that is finals, we all know we’re too exhausted to leave the comfort of our couches. If you’re like me and refuse to leave your home but still want to show your family and friends you care, here are some quick and easy recipes that will save your life.

We all know that a homemade gift is always more meaningful than a store bought one, so give the ones you love edible gifts (that take no time at all, sh).

Now all we have to do is jar up these bad boys, put on a little ribbon and note on them, and send them off to family and friends.

Peppermint Puppy Chow

  • Prep Time:5 minutes
  • Cook Time:0 minutes
  • Total Time:5 minutes
  • Servings:5 cups
  • Easy

    Ingredients

  • 5 cup Rice Chex
  • 1 bag white chocolate chips
  • 4 candy canes

  • Step 1

    Melt white chocolate in microwave in 30 second increments so that the chocolate does not seize.

  • Step 2

    Add melted white chocolate to the Rice Chex and combine.

  • Step 3

    Lay the mixture out on a pan and sprinkle the crushed candy canes on top.

  • Step 4

    Let this sit for 30 minutes until it seizes up and become the delectable treat you desire.

Peppermint Bark

  • Prep Time:10 minutes

  • Total Time:10 minutes
  • Servings:5 cups

    Ingredients

  • 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 bag white chocolate chips
  • 4 candy canes

  • Step 1

    Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in the microwave at 30 second increments so that it doesn’t seize.

  • Step 2

    Spread it out on parchment paper.

  • Step 3

    Repeat step 1 and 2 with the white chocolate chips.

  • Step 4

    Spread the white chocolate atop the semi-sweet chocolate.

  • Step 5

    Sprinkle the the crushed candy canes and let the chocolate harden.

Oven Roasted Chestnuts

  • Prep Time:10 minutes
  • Cook Time:25 minutes
  • Total Time:35 minutes

    Ingredients

  • 24 Chestnuts

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Step 2

    With a knife, make an “X” in as many chestnuts as you’d like to bake.

  • Step 3

    Pop these into the oven for about 25 minutes.
