15 Drake Lyrics That Prove He’s Secretly a Foodie

I’m not sure how many of you are Drake fans, but I’m a dedicated (obsessed) fan and have been since his beloved Degrassi days. But no matter what level of Drake fan you are (or aren’t), you and I still have something in common: food, because hello, you’re on Spoon University.

I hope this list influences you to have a greater appreciation (obsession) for Drake, because I’m convinced that like us, he is a fellow foodie. Here are 15 Drizzy beats I found sprinkled with foodie lyrics.

1. Make Me Proud

“Running on a treadmill and only eating salad

I’m more of a stir-fry gal, but if Drake wants sushi, I want sushi.

This lyric really gets me because A) you can never go wrong with chicken, B) I’m picturing Drake killin’ it in the kitchen #swoon, and C) I really wouldn’t mind doing the dishes in this case.

Yes, just yes. You come up in many discussions, especially when I’m sipping caramel lattes and chowing on blueberry muffins.

I’ve always been more of a Sprite fan myself.

I think Drake has a thing for seafood and I’m not complaining. #classy

Okay, so Drake doesn’t say a foodie lyric in the song, but c’mon, “Pound Cake” as a song title? Foodie alert. By the way, Drake, I have a sweet tooth too, just saying.

Saved the best for last because how ironic is it that Drake has a body guard named “Spoons?” It’s like I was meant to write this or something.
