We are currently weeks away from the Class of 2020 embarking on their University of Denver journey. With that said, there are definitely some things that the incoming students should know about what is ahead of them. Lucky for them/you, we have compiled real advice from real DU students in order to know all there is to know about the Pioneer lifestyle. You can thank us later.
1. âNever ever say that you attend UD or Denver Universityâ
2. âTake down anyone who calls your school UD or Denver Universityâ
3. âExpect to wear shorts Winter Quarterâ
4. âExpect to wear a down jacket Spring Quarterâ

5. âDonât let your freshman dorm define youâ
6. âHang out in other dorms besides your own⊠weâre looking at you J-Macâ
7. âBuy ear plugsâ
8. âDonât rely on your roommate to be your best friendâ
9. âGet used to sharing your spaceâ
10. âLearn to compromise your living habits to meet in the middleâ
11. âMake as many friends on your floor as possible within the first weekâ
12. âThe group of friends you have during O-Week will not be your group of friends later onâ

35. âMake sure you are respecting yourself and receiving that same respect in returnâ
