Leftover pizza. The best lunch. Sometimes, you just eat it straight from the fridge. But when the weather gets cold, you may be craving that melted cheese and crispy crust.

The microwave is the usual go-to. It is, after all, great for many uses. But with pizza, it will just result in a mushy crust and tomato sauce splattered everywhere.

The oven may seem like a plausible option because the pizza becomes crispy. But when you’re hungry, preheating the oven takes a while. Plus, the oven tends to dry out the slice, and no one wants  bone-dry crust and leathery cheese.

The solution? A skillet. Heat the slice on medium-low for a few minutes. Once the bottom is nice and crispy, add a few drops of water to the pan. Turn the heat to low and cover for a few minutes.  And there you have it. A crispy bottom crust, moist top crust and melted cheese.
