How to Ripen an Avocado in a Paper Bag

Sometimes, when life gives you avocados, they give you the rock hard ones that are basically mini bowling balls. So maybe you research uses for unripe avocados. Maybe use it as a weapon? Or a door stop? Rough Times. Maybe you really wanted an avocado smoothie only to find out that you have to resort to raw avocados instead. Such a shame. Instead, let science ripen your avocados. Huge shout out to ethylene.

Things You’ll Need:

Avocado
Paper Bag
Clip

Step 1: Place avocado in bag

Really if you can’t do this how are you reading this??

Step 2: Clip bag

Alternatively, you could do this with a rubber band or even tape. Make sure you leave a bit of space so air can circulate.

Step 3: Let science do its thing and enjoy

Let sit 1-2 days at room temperature, if it’s still hard then, give it another day. Behold your beautiful, ripened baby.
