I will be the first to admit, poaching an egg is hard. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get that perfect poach. I’ve tried all the techniques, but nothing has worked out quite the way it was supposed to.

Recently, I learned you can use plastic wrap to poach an egg and it has been a life changing discovery. Follow these simple steps and you’ll be able to poach an egg like a professional chef in no time.

Poached Egg

    Place plastic wrap over a small cup. Cover plastic wrap with grease. Add egg. Wrap and tie plastic wrap to enclose egg inside.

    Place into boiling water for 5 minutes.

    Remove from pot and unwrap egg. Add salt and pepper. Enjoy!
