Coming from a family of seven, the amount of time that it takes to make each piece of bacon on the stove can get a little ridiculous. The oven method is so much quicker and easier since you can work on other aspects of the breakfast while the bacon is cooking instead of carefully watching each piece. Once you know how to make bacon in the oven, you probably won’t go back.
How to Make Bacon in the Oven
Ingredients
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the parchment paper on the sheet pan. The parchment paper makes it so there’s little mess afterwards, saving you even more time and effort.
Place the bacon strips on top of the parchment paper so that they do not overlap. How many you will be able to fit depends entirely on the size of the sheet pan. Most can fit around 6. If you’re making more than this, you can put more than one sheet pan in the oven at once.
Put the bacon in the oven for approximately 15 minutes, or until they’re as done as you prefer. No flipping required.
Making bacon this way is so easy and mess-free that I’ve found myself eating bacon way more often. Sometimes I just serve it up with a side of eggs for breakfast, but there are tons of other recipes that call for bacon for as well. You could put it in some mac and cheese, use the bacon to wrap another delicious food, or even make bacon jam. No matter how you use the bacon, this method is sure to serve you well.
