Hi, I am Zemas, a Sophomore at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. I am an aspiring operations consultant with a passion for combining Informatics with Finance to drive inclusion and growth in my community. I am particularly interested in collaborating with individuals from diverse disciplines to create innovative, data-driven solutions for businesses through automation.
As an avid foodie from Singapore that loves to try different cultures, I look forward to joining Spoon University to share my passion for diverse cuisines and discover new flavor combinations. Food has always been a powerful way for me to connect with others – whether through meaningful conversations, understanding the history behind various cultures, or engaging in story-telling that brings culinary traditions to life. To me, listening to the visions of F&B owners and their enthusiasm towards their products always fuels my curiosity to learn more about the culinary world. Hearing their stories, the dedication behind their creations, and their interdisciplinary perspectives on food often gives me inspiration to document these processes and draw inspiration from them. By joining this community, I aim to contribute to celebrating the universal language of food while deepening my own knowledge and connecting with others who value the joy and richness of food. I hope to grow as a story-teller and discover hidden gems within Bloomington, bringing awareness to local businesses.
By being part of the Spoon community, I aim to meet like-minded individuals who share the same enthusiasm for food while honing my writing and creative skills. I want to continue learning about different cultures and exploring how local businesses operate, especially in contrast to those in Singapore. I believe Spoon is the perfect intersection of these interests, offering a unique platform to bridge cultural and culinary perspectives. The club would allow me to grow personally and professionally, discover more about myself in a supportive environment, and contribute meaningfully to its mission of celebrating food and the stories behind it.
