Kayla Davis

My name is Kayla Davis and I am a first year student at Northeastern University. I am currently majoring in Business and Psychology and I am planning to minor in Nutrition. Throughout my time living in Los Angeles, I became passionate about food- whether its trying new foods, new restaurants, making new recipes, or photographing my meals. In addition to my love for food, I am also allergic to a lot of it due to my dairy and gluten sensitivities. These allergies have taught me how to experiment in the kitchen to create dishes modified to my dietary restrictions. They also inspired me to create an instagram page, @shakecheff, during the height of the pandemic where I shared many smoothie recipes I created in my free time. This platform provided a space where I could blend various my various passions of photography, community, and food! As part of the Spoon Community, I would be very interested in working as a writer and marketer for the team so I can continue blending my passions like I did with my shake account. Another bit about me is that I am an endurance athlete (I'm a cyclist) and I love to go spinning or running and riding with friends when its warm out:). thank you!
