Jordan is a STEM major (specifically biochemistry) with a budding interest in the field's practical applications. He's currently on the pre-med track and hopes to become a family practitioner when he graduates from medical school. He's a DMV native who barely got out of the house, so he's just as new to the area as students from out of the region.
His interests include golf, playwriting, debate, and volunteering. This is just the tip of the iceberg, though. His journey as a nontraditional student has taken him across many different fields—literally. As a former long-distance runner, he appreciates being outdoors on a cool evening and running to clear his mind. Now disabled, he's used it as a transition to even more hobbies.
He's a novice to the culinary arts but hopes to gain a great wealth of information on DC's local food scene and the region as a whole. Regarding food, he's grown an appreciation for highly spicy foods, olive oil, pastries, and cultural cuisines worldwide. He's currently interested in how other culture's consume insects and considers it a breakthrough in sustainability.
