My name is Jake Blair. I am a second-year student at NU. Ever since I was little I have loved all things related to food. Including cooking, baking, and having a sophisticated palette. I love and appreciate all genres and cultures of food and respect the art and science that goes into cooking/baking any dish.
I was gluten-free for some time. So, during COVID, I created my own local baking business to deliver gluten-free treats to my neighbors and local families during those hard times. I created an Instagram page and website with a listed menu and a form to place orders. It was a great experience and it taught me how much work actually goes into running a business.
I love to be creative and experiment so I would always challenge myself to make something that not only tastes good but looks good as well with the ingredients on hand at the time. I am also very organized and efficient and when it comes to something I find interest in, I always put my all into it.
