Isabella Sagarese

I am a student at Fairfield University, where I am majoring in English and Digital Journalism with minors in studio art, mathematics, and editing and publishing. I am passionate about storytelling in all its forms, and write to explore the intersections between food, memory, identity, and culture. My academic experience is rooted in thoughtful observation and creative expression, which I carry into my work for Spoon University.

Originally from the Northeast, I grew up in a family where meals were more than just nourishment—they were a way to gather, celebrate, and connect. I love how certain foods evoke nostalgia and connect us to our childhoods, families, and evolving identities.

Beyond the classroom and kitchen, I enjoy painting, singing in Glee Club and Grace Notes, swimming, and spending time with my little sister. I believe in savoring every detail—both on the plate and on the page.
