I am currently a freshman at Indiana University. I am enrolled in the Kelley School of Business as a marketing major with a minor in Spanish. Other than my involvement in Spoon University, I am a member of WIMS (Women in Marketing and Sales at IU) and the International Business Association at IU. In high school, I participated in sports as one of my main involvements. I ran cross country and track and swam for the swim team. I also participated in several clubs including Business Professionals of America (BPA), and I volunteered around my community.
In high school I also had a job. Over the summers, I enjoyed lifeguarding. This job was a big responsibility, but I really enjoyed being able to spend time outside. Doing things outside is something I enjoy. In my free time I like to read, exercise, and hang out with my friends. Since being at Indiana University, I have continued to run in my free time. I enjoy being able to walk and run in the beautiful areas Bloomington has to offer.
The reason why I became a part of Spoon University is because I love having the opportunity to try new foods. I love to expand my food palette and gain new culinary experiences. One of my goals while in Bloomington is to try the local restaurants and find my favorites. I like all types of food, but I would say the most unique thing I have eaten was an octopus tentacle.
