SpikedSeltzer Is About to Be Your New Favorite Mixer

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Providence chapter.

With the warm summer months rapidly approaching, college students across the country are spending their days outside enjoying the weather, more often than not with a drink in hand. While beer and wine are adequate beverages for the average college student, as millennials we’re always searching for the next big trend. Alas, the drink of the future has arrived.

Allow us to introduce you to SpikedSeltzer. These fruity drinks are taking the college world by storm, and for good reason. The seltzers have all natural fruit flavor, are gluten free and are also low in carbs – perfect as bathing suit season rapidly approaches.

The small alcohol company was founded in 2013 and is run out of Norwalk, Connecticut. The seltzers come in four refreshing flavors: Valencia Orange, Cape Cod Cranberry, West Indies Lime and Indian River Grapefruit. The taste is crisp yet light and packs 6 percent ABV, about the same as a glass of wine.
