Trader Joe’s just released its customer-voted favorite products for the 15th year in a row. From beloved desserts and cheese board essentials all the way to beverages and overall offerings, shoppers came out for another year to vote for their favorite grocery shopping necessities. As a certified Trader Joe’s lover, of course, I voted and am disappointed at the lack of BBQ Teriyaki Chicken, my personal freezer fave. However, last year, Trader Joe’s did induct a few fan faves into their Product Hall Of Fame, which include Mandarin Orange Chicken, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Peanut Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets, Unexpected Cheddar, and Soy Chorizo. Perhaps Trader Joe’s 15th Annual Customer Choice Awards Winners will be Hall-of-Famers soon, too.
What were the No. 1 products from Trader Joe’s?
According to the fan voters, these products topped their grocery lists all year long.
#1 Product Overall: Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips
#1 Snack: Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips
#1 Beverage: Spiced Cider
#1 Cheese: Goat Cheese
#1 Produce: Bananas
#1 Appetizer: Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip
#1 Breakfast & Brunch: Hashbrowns
#1 Lunch & Dinner: Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice
#1 Bath, Body & Home: Brazil Nut Body Butter
#1 Sweet Treat: Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches
Believe it or not, the Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips have topped the list for three years running. The citrus-tinged rolled chips offer the perfect balance for spice and tang, great for dipping or eating as is.
Of course, no one can deny that the 19¢ banana deal that Trader Joe’s is famous for.
Additionally, the TJ’s hashbrowns are a frequent favorite and had their own resurgence on TikTok with various topping recipes.
What items were customer-voted runners-up?
According to Trader Joe’s, other overall product favorites included Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings, Kimbap, Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings, and seasonal Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese.
Additionally, behind goat cheese, TJ’s shoppers loved Syrah Soaked Toscano Cheese Spread & Dip, Burrata, Toscano Cheese with Black Pepper, and English Farmhouse Cheddar with Caramelized Onions. These pair perfectly with the Pita Bite Crackers.
Trader Joe’s produce voters also selected the Teeny Tiny Avocados, Honeycrisp Apples, Persian Cucumbers, and Lemony Arugula Basil Complete Salad Kit as runners-up. (I personally voted for the brussels sprouts kit.)
I personally voted for the White Cheddar Corn Puffs and am happy to see they ranked in the snack category alongside Organic Elote Corn Chip Dippers, Crunchy Curls, and Patio Potato Chips. I do believe that the Sour Cream & Onion Flavored Rings were snubbed, however.
To no surprise, the dessert category was almost all ice cream, including Mint Chip Ice Cream, Hold the Cone! Chocolate Chip, Hold the Cone! Chocolate, and Almond Kringle.
The sweet tooths also dominated the breakfast and brunch list with Chocolate Croissants, Almond Croissants, Double Chocolate Croissants, and Chicken Sausage Breakfast Patties.
Sadly, no coffees ranked on the beverage list, but cider was followed up by French Market Sparkling Lemonade, Triple Ginger Brew, Tangerine Juice, and Non-Dairy Brown Sugar Flavored Oat Creamer.
Looking for some good dinner appetizers, Trader Joe’s shoppers were all about Mac and Cheese Bites, Parmesan Pastry Pups, Greek Spanakopita, and Vegetable Bird’s Nests with Soy Dipping Sauce this year.
Of course, if you’re in a dinner rut, make sure to grab some Chicken Tikka Masala, Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings, Vegetable Fried Rice, and/or Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings for the week.
Finally, you can outfit your bathroom and living room with TJ’s wonderful selection of home products. Behind the Brazil Nut Body Butter (a good Bum Bum Cream dupe) are the Daily Facial Sunscreen, Coconut Body Butter, Lavender Spray Hand Sanitizer, and Eight Dripless Candles.
