This TikTok User Made A Butter Tree For Christmas

The most fun thing about Christmas trees isn’t always the presents underneath them. Sometimes, it’s the wild decor that adorns them. For example, I am gazing upon my beautiful tree, which is decked out with the face of Keanu Reeves and various characters from Netflix’s I Think You Should Leave. Next to that tree is my mini black tree covered in creepy bats and cats to celebrate my year-long love of Halloween. However, one TikTok user Abby Spinach (@abby.spinach) took her love of butter to the next level by creating the ultimate Christmas butter tree. Frankly, I don’t know of a better way to honor the best ingredient known to man.

Why a butter tree?

Why not a butter tree? Abby is merely doing it for fun and shared her butter ornament finds and hauls with her followers, otherwise known as #butterornamentnation, for much of November and December.

In fact, Abby’s followers started to get involved in her search, too. In her quest to find the Cracker Barrel butter ornament, she turned up empty-handed, but a kind viewer found the coveted tree bauble and sent it her way.

What does the butter tree look like?

Of course, it is decked out with butter stick ornaments from major retailers including World Market and Home Goods, and small businesses alike.

Here, you can see her collection of butter ornaments surrounded by strings of popcorn, butter-flavored candy canes, tinsel, and bows — because it’s 2023, of course. She even DIYed a cow angel to sit on top. “Oh butter tree, oh butter tree, how lovely are your branches,” she sings to her magnificent spectacle.

Of course, several brands have taken notice, and Miyokos sent a plant-based butter package her way, which she shared on Instagram

Maybe next year, the butter tree will grow into a full six-foot tree. Or maybe, next year we will see a cream cheese tree! If you’re interested in grabbing your own butter ornaments for a potential butter tree, Abby made a spreadsheet of where to find her favorites.
