Where to Go For Holiday Eats in Charlotte 2022

Every year, Charlotte hosts a variety of fun Holiday activities for all ages, and what better way to celebrate than with food? Discover festive (and mostly free) events in order to make the most out of this Holiday Season. From the Holiday market at Light the Knights, to decorating cookies with Santa at Optimist Hall, or free kids’ breakfast with Clifford the Big Red Dog, there’s lots to explore! Camp North End Mistle Market

If you’ve never been to Camp North End before, you’re missing out! With unique shopping, restaurants, and fun events, Camp North End is the place to be.

On the first three Saturdays of December (The 3rd, 10th, and 17th), the Mistletoe Market will be taking place from 4:00-8:00 PM. There will be food, drinks, vendors, live music, and even fire pits.

Uptown Charlotte Light The Knights 

Located on the Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte, Light the Knights will feature even more activities this year such as snow tubing, an ice rink, a holiday light show on the field, food, drinks, and Santa. Light the Knights will be taking place from November 23rd 2022-January 8th 2023.

Charlotte Christmas Village

The Charlotte Christmas Village takes place during Light the Knights and features unique food and gifts from around the world! This unique market will take place from November 23rd-December 23rd, so be sure to stop by and grab some delicious eats and one-of-a-kind gifts from vendors. The Christmas Village features German foods such as schnitzel, bratwurst, strudel, hot ciders, hot chocolate, beers, and gluhwein (traditional mulled wine).

Family Hanukkah Breakfast With Clifford the Big Red Dog

Head down to Lerner Hall for a family breakfast where kids eat free on December 18th from 9:30-11:00 AM! In addition to breakfast, there will be games, music, and Clifford the Big Red Dog! Adults who are members of the JCC cost $10, and adults who are not members cost $15.

Chanukah at Birkdale Village

Celebrate Chanukah with a menorah lighting on December 20th, 2022 at 5:30 PM in Birkdale Village. Admission is free and there will be donuts, latkes, crafts, hot drinks, and more!

Cookies With Santa at Optimist Hall

Optimist Hall is a converted mill now turned food hall and is a favorite among Charlotte residents with dozens of unique dining options to choose from. Tenants serve food, drinks, and dessert from all around the world including Chinese, Mexican, Vietnamese, and even Ethiopian food. Cookies with Santa will take place on December 10th, 2022 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. Children will be able to take a picture with Santa Claus and decorate free cookies. Hot chocolate will be available to purchase from Spindle Bar’s Airstream.
