The seasons are changing, and with that comes Starbucks’ Fall Drink line up!!! Whether you’re a coffee addict trying to get your caffeine fix or just love Starbucks for the non-caffeinated drinks, this list of the best Starbucks fall drinks has your back.
1. Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
The pumpkin cream cold brew features Starbucks’ classic cold brew coffee sweetened with vanilla syrup, and then is topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and dusted with pumpkin spice. This drink is perfect for those who love strong coffee and don’t want an overly sweet beverage. The first few sips, you actually can’t even taste any pumpkin because it is all on top. This is a great drink for coffee lovers who are trying to add a little fall spice in their Starbucks routine, but not go over the top.
2. Pumpkin Spice Latte
The pumpkin spice latte, which can be ordered either hot or iced or as a frappuccino, is the classic fall beverage. Can you really consider it fall without ordering one? The PSL combines espresso and milk with a blend of pumpkin and traditional spice flavoring, and then is topped with whipped cream and pumpkin spice seasoning. Unlike the pumpkin cream cold brew, the PSL has a strong and sweet taste of pumpkin and barley tastes like coffee. I have friends that don’t even drink coffee that order these. This is a great option for anyone looking for a sweet treat that really wants to embrace the pumpkin feels.
3. Salted Caramel Mocha
Not a pumpkin lover? Don’t fret, there are still options for you at Starbucks! The Salted Caramel Mocha can be ordered hot, iced, or as a frappuccino. It combines espresso, milk, mocha sauce and toffee syrup and is topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce. This drink boasts notes of caramel and chocolate. The coffee flavor is definitely stronger than the PSL, but still is not overpowering. This is a great option for anyone craving a delicious hot chocolate, but also is in need of an extra caffeine boost.
4. Caramel Apple Spice
I was looking for a non coffee containing fall drink to review, and this one caught my eye as being the most unique. While many of the above drinks can be ordered without coffee (salted caramel hot chocolate, pumpkin spice creme), this unique beverage actually can’t be ordered with coffee. The Caramel Apple Spice contains steamed apple juice combined with cinnamon syrup and topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle sauce. This drink smelled amazing, probably the best on the list. It basically just tastes like apple cider with some hints of cinnamon. I prefer creamy, coffee drinks, but this is a good option for anyone who wants a caffeine free treat. I thought the whipped cream was kind of a weird addition on apple cider, but if you want the full experience, I’d say go for it.
Bonus tip! Grab a fall bakery item while you’re at it. I recommend the fox cake pop – it is delicious and adorable!
