Korbel California Champagne for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day; it’s right around the literal corner. If you’re anything like me and have yet to get your mom a gift, then I’m here to save the day with Korbel California Champagne. While champagne might seem like an obvious choice to give your mom, not all moms drink, so that’s definitely something to consider. On that note, here’s what you need to know about said Korbel California Champagne.

Deets, please.

Korbel California Champagne, the official sponsor of Brunch, has teamed up with home bartender and entertainer Natalie Migliarini (@beautifulbooze) for updated takes on classic brunch cocktails. Sip on a low-ABV Bubbly Bloody Mary made with tomato water, a Honey Grapefruit Mimosa utilizing the entire fruit, and a Strawberry Lemonade Spritz featuring a housemade simple syrup. Korbel California Champagne seems to be relatively affordable, too, with prices apparently being as low as $11 per bottle. I could be wrong, though, but still; it’s relatively affordable when compared to Moët Chandon or Veuve Cliquot.

Cocktail recipes for Mother’s Day can be found below:

Bubbly Blood Mary (pair with Shakshuka)

3 ounces of tomato water

4 ounces Korbel Brut

Add tomato water to coupe glass. Top with Korbel Brut Champagne. Garnish with olive and cherry tomatoes.

Korbel Honey Grapefruit Mimosa (pair with Fruit and Granola Tarts)

3 ounces of fresh ruby red grapefruit juice

½ ounce honey syrup

4 ounces Korbel Brut Rosé

Add grapefruit juice and honey syrup to flute. Stir then top with Korbel Brut Rosé. Garnish with candied ruby red grapefruit peel.

Strawberry Lemonade Spritz (pair with DIY Bagel Sandwich Board)

1 ounce dry vermouth

¾ lemon juice

½ strawberry simple syrup

4 ounces Korbel Sweet Rosé

Add vermouth, lemon juice and strawberry simple syrup to shaker. Shake then strain into serving glass over ice. Top with Korbel Sweet Rosé. Garnish with strawberries and edible flowers.

Now that you know what to do for Mother’s Day, it’s time to get your mom a bottle of Korbel California Champagne and celebrate the day with her; although everyday should be celebrated with her – that’s what I do, and I’m sure that I get on her nerves, but I have nothing but love for my mom.
