How To Maximize Dining Hall Waffles

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Northwestern chapter.

The only thing better than freshly ironed waffles? Freshly ironed waffles stuffed with Nutella and topped with ice cream, of course. Dining hall food can get monotonous after your fiftieth meal of chips and pizza, so here’s a way spice up your favorite starchy comfort food to get you through those painful study sessions (and hangovers). Feel free to try your own combos, of course. Here are some that we tried and loved.

Easy

1. Peanut Butter and Jelly

Ingredients:

1 burger patty, cut into pieces

½ cup of grated cheese (or more)

Bonus: Sprinkle cheese on top of the waffle after it’s done, then close the waffle iron for 3 seconds to melt the cheese. Mhmmm.
