Celebrating Chocolate In A New Way With SMASHMALLOW

Marshmallows might as well be the official fall snack in place of pumpkin spice lattes… gag. With the help of SMASHMALLOW, an amazing marshmallow company, there’s a new way to enjoy marshmallows; and that just so happens to be dipped.. in chocolate, which tastes more like a dark chocolate to me having tried them myself. Don’t believe me? See below.

What’s a dipped marshmallow?

A dipped marshmallow is exactly what it sounds like… a marshmallow that’s dipped; except these marshmallows are dipped in chocolate. Flavors include Dark Chocolate Dipped Cold Brew and Dark Chocolate Raspberry. The chocolate that the marshmallows are dipped into are luxurious and sustainably-sourced dark chocolate, which makes me feel a little bit better about consuming said marshmallows. The thing with the marshmallows themselves is that they’re made from the very best non-GMO ingredients then dipped in sustainably sourced dark chocolate, certified by the rainforest alliance, for an irresistibly smooth guilt-free, every-day, any-time of day chocolately treat for your taste buds. Each bag retails for $5, and they’re available at Target and online at select online retailers. Besides, who doesn’t love a good Target run? Use this as your excuse to go there and then when you come out with a million other things that you probably didn’t need in the first place, don’t come blaming me…. or maybe you can blame me.

What else is there to know?

Besides the fact that there are two flavors known as Dark Chocolate Dipped Cold Brew and Dark Chocolate Raspberry, here’s what you need to know about both flavors. Dark Chocolate Dipped Cold Brew is essentially a swirl of smooth, creamy cold brew meets dreamy dark chocolate. It’s a delightfully dipped smash up. A shot of sweet and a jolt of yum that’s sure to perk you up. On the other hand, Dark Chocolate Raspberry is a swirl of smooth, creamy cold brew meets dreamy dark chocolate. It’s a delightfully dipped smash up. Once again, a shot of sweet and a jolt of yum that’s sure to perk you up. Both flavors are 120 calories per serving (as if that actually matters), have two grams of fat, are made with organic cane sugar, and are soy and nut free, making them safe for everyone to consume without having to worry about allergies. Score.

If marshmallows dipped in chocolate just isn’t your thing, have no fear. I also highly recommend SMASHMALLOW‘s ‘Mint Chocolate Chip’ flavor, which is how I’ve discovered the amazing brand that SMASHMALLOW is in the first place. These are the perfect s’mores marshmallow, so even if you don’t want to have marshmallows that are pre-dipped in chocolate, you could still have chocolate marshmallows.

SMASHMALLOW makes such amazing marshmallows that I could honestly go through a whole bag or two in one sitting while binge watching Netflix… no joke. I first discovered the brand when I was in undergrad and am so grateful that I get to work with them on this piece. Chocolate and marshmallows might not seem like a combo that would go together, but the fluffiness of the marshmallows really compliments the crunch that the dark chocolate provides, which provides a good snack haven to indulge in.
